There comes a moment in a woman's life when your body starts whispering… and eventually asking more loudly to be listened to.

Maybe your energy feels different. Maybe sleep isn’t as easy as it once was. Maybe your emotions feel unfamiliar, your body less predictable, or you simply find yourself wondering what is changing and why.

For many women, this season can feel confusing, isolating, or overwhelming, especially when we’re expected to simply “carry on” without truly understanding what’s happening within us.

The Wise Woman Retreat was created as a space to pause, exhale, and feel deeply supported through this transition, and embrace the next chapter of womanhood with confidence, vitality, and community. Whether you are currently experiencing hormonal shifts or preparing for what lies ahead, this retreat is designed to leave you feeling educated, supported, rested, and deeply renewed.

Beyond the experience itself, this retreat is designed to leave you with something lasting.

You will be hosted by a team of experts and led by wellness practitioners; Sally King and Maxine Bailey-Green. Together, we will explore the latest research around female hormone health and nervous system wellbeing, helping you better understand the changes happening within your body, while equipping you with realistic, sustainable tools to support yourself long after the retreat ends.

 

This is not about “fixing” yourself. It is about learning how to support yourself with greater compassion, wisdom, and understanding.

Nourishment

Food plays a huge part in our six night experience and we have thoughtfully curated a very exciting and varied dining schedule.
 

We kick things off with a “Sadayna” welcome ceremony and private-dining experience, hosted by our Kerala-based, British chef Nikki Merali at her
celebrated venue, ‘Piknik’.

 

We’ll also enjoy dinners at some of Kerala’s most sought-after restaurants, giving you the freedom to choose from the full menu and experience the region’s exceptional culinary scene.

Your Home for the week

Set just moments from the shoreline, we’ll be staying at the beautiful Miracle by the Bay—a peaceful coastal sanctuary where the sound of the sea and the slower pace of Kerala invite you to truly unwind.

This retreat has been created with so much intention, care and heart. Throughout the experience, you’ll be supported and guided by a team of passionate wellbeing professionals, each bringing their own unique energy, expertise and perspective.

Maxine Bailey-Green 

It’s hard to pinpoint exactly what makes Max so remarkable as a guide and teacher. She’s an outlier, somebody who resists labels and instead finds beauty in the spaces between. As a deep rest coach, meditation teacher, breathwork facilitator, and yoga teacher with over a decade of experience, Max is passionate about helping women slow down enough to hear themselves again. Her work is rooted in the belief that healing, vitality, and balance begin when we stop abandoning ourselves and start responding to our needs with compassion and curiosity.

 

While her knowledge and experience of yoga is undeniable, it is her devotion to living the practice that truly sets her apart. 

 

Now in the midst of her own menopause journey, Max understands firsthand that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to wellbeing. One of the deepest lessons this season of life has taught her is the importance of listening inward learning to honour what her body, mind, and nervous system truly need, rather than forcing herself into rigid wellness ideals or expectations.


Above all, Max will guide you back to yourself.
Not through striving or fixing, but through presence, softness, and remembering the wisdom that has always lived within you.

Sally King

Sally is a wellness expert and entrepreneur with over 25 years of international experience in the fitness, Pilates and nutrition space. Throughout her global career, she has mentored both clients and instructors, earning a reputation for her deep knowledge, intuitive teaching style, and passion for holistic health through movement, mindset, and food.

 

Bringing a multi-dimensional approach to wellness, Sally spent three years working professionally as a chef at the prestigious Southsea Deli and then moved on to setting up her 'Good Mood Food' cookery school. This culinary background allows her to expertly craft delicious dietary adaptations tailored to the shifting hormonal and metabolic needs of mid-life. She blends functional nutrition with practical food strategies, making nourishment a celebration rather than a restriction.

 

As the founder of Mango Wellbeing, Sally offers a unique coaching concept designed specifically to support mid-life women. Using the latest female-focused scientific research, her specialized framework helps women understand their changing bodies, restore balance, and debunk the "meno-myths." Sally cannot wait to share her wellness practical toolbox and the gourmet joys of Kerala with you.
