Join me on this workshop as we Dive deeper and deeper into rest. This workshop provides a deliberately slow paced environment for diving deeper into a practise, that replenishes the soul. Starting with slow, mindful breath-work, as a way to release tension and resting in supported restorative yoga postures to shift the nervous system back into balance, this allows the power of the breath to move blocked energy and deep seated tension. Rest is exquisite in its simplicity: it is the act of doing nothing, but the challenge that many of us face is the inconvenience (and guilt) of stopping. There’s always something on the to-do list, and you might even feel guilty of stopping, like it's a selfish act. But without proper rest in the sense that we are doing nothing rest, not even reading a book or chilling out in front of the TV rest, chronic fatigue begins to creep in. In the construction world there's a phrase called fatigue failure. Fatigue failure is the formation and propagation of cracks due to a repetitive load. Our bodies are no different, when we consistently over a period of time keep teetering in our fight or flight response eventually we begin to break. My goal is to rest more. Who's with me?
